Or actually the purpose is ancient: As a social beast human beings have always had a desire to both stand out and be part of a social context at the same time. How do we as designers develop product that can fit this desire and how can we develop platforms that enable new social patterns to emerge and possibly novel social actions to impact the world.

Meaningful Visions for Life is the consultancy of Martin V. Ludvigsen.

I have a PhD in interaction design and is specialized in designing for social interaction.

Designing social situations entails a range of complications in the design process and I am experienced in handling this design space and has developed particular methods and conceptual frameworks for approaching and understanding the complexity of social spaces - and project this into concrete design proposals.

Furthermore I am deeply interested in the concept of collective intelligence which I am exploring with different groups of co-designers and co-thinkers and -doers. Collective intelligence has a huge potential as a frame for understanding how and why we are working with social tool and technologies - and why the use of such tools are becoming increasingly popular.

Privately I live in Århus, Denmark with my girl-friend and a view over the city roofs and the Århus Bay area.
